To  :  All Sri Lankans and well wishers in Kuwait

On behalf of the members of the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Kuwait, I wish to place on record my sincere appreciation to all Sri Lankans and well-wishers in Kuwait for their invaluable support and cooperation extended to the Embassy / Seva Vanitha Unit towards the success of the “Sri Lanka Day” held on 4th December 2009, which is the first ever day of its kind organized by the   Sri Lanka Embassy in Kuwait. 

The Seva Vanitha Unit would like to emphasize that the members of the  Sri Lankan community and well-wishers who patronized the “Sri Lanka Day” activities by way of sponsoring booths,  donation of raffle prices & food items, purchase of raffle tickets and providing dance & cultural items, sounds, lights, media coverage as well as designing & printing of posters,  arranging  security, catering   and numerous other services have contributed greatly for the smooth arrangements and hassle-free day filled with fun for all our invitees, guests and general public.  Furthermore, the parents should be commended for releasing their kids for cultural performances and entertainment etc. which contributed to a lively atmosphere and an enjoyable evening for all.  I thank each and every one of you for your continued goodwill and generosity towards this worthy endeavour which pave the way for a new beginning towards further strengthening and promoting community related activities and services.

Finally, let me assure you that all proceeds of the raffle draw will be donated for charitable causes for the benefit of needy children.
