The National Council for Culture, Arts & Letters of Kuwait together with the Sri Lankan Embassy will host a “Sri Lanka Culture Week” from 26th April- 02nd May 2010 in Kuwait. During the week, following events will be held featuring Sri Lankan culture, arts, dancing, music, fashion etc.
1. “Sri Lak Rangana” cultural performances and music 2. Exhibition of handicraft, cottage industries, artifacts, paintings etc. 3. A presentation on “Batik, Lifestyle & Role of Sri Lankan Women” 4. Presentation on “Destination Sri Lanka” 5. Media campaigns & press conferences
The “Sri Lanka Culture Week” will help create awareness on Sri Lanka among the Kuwaitis and the expatriate community in Kuwait which in turn would contribute towards promoting tourism, investments, trade, people to people contacts and mutually beneficial relations between Sri Lanka and Kuwait.
A Sri Lankan cultural troupe comprised of over 28 dancers, a fashion designer etc. will perform Sri Lanka’s traditional, contemporary, modern dancing and fusions etc. etc. while an orchestra will entertain the audience with classical songs & music.

Publication of a Special Souvenir
It is planned to publish a special souvenir on “Sri Lanka Week” aimed at supporting “Sri Lankan Promotions” and, at the same time, to provide our valued sponsors a platform to reach out to their clients and the likeminded with information on their products and services.
The sponsors are therefore welcome to take advantage of this opportunity to promote their interests and showcase their products and services by sponsoring an advertisement in the souvenir. Advertisements are published on first come first serve basis at special rates.
