A group of 46 well-wishers representing KNPC, KCI, ATC, Mushrif, KENTZ, Defence Ministry, MOH, Kharafi National, Travel Club etc. made a voluntary contribution of KD 1200 (Rs. 504,404/-) to the “Ranaviru” Fund in response to the appeal made by the Embassy at the diaspora meeting convened at the Embassy premises on 29th May. A group of 7 members on behalf of the 46 donors presented a cheque for the said sum to the Ambassador on 4th June at the Embassy and expressed their whole hearted support to the war heroes and assured the Ambassador of their continued commitment to Sri Lanka. Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador appreciated the donation extended by the group at short notice and said that their magnanimity is a reflection of their care and concern towards the needy.
The Embassy take this opportunity to extend its gratitude to all Sri Lankans and well-wishers who came forward with valuable donations to the war heroes at this hour of need and wish to assure them of the Embassy’s willingness to support them with their needs and requirements at all times.
