Donation of Rs. 282,970/- to “Api Venuven Api” by “Subasahana United Society of Sri Lankans” in Crowne Plaza Kuwait |

The “Subasahana United Society of Sri Lankans” which is a charitable organization based in Kuwait comprised of Sri Lankan staff attached to Crowne Plaza Hotel Kuwait, conducted “Sa Musical Concert” on 9th January 2010 at which music legend Victor Ratnayake together with an orchestra performed.
The proceeds of the musical show amounting to Rs. 282,970.00 have been donated to the “Api Venuven Api” Fund by the “Subasahana United Society of Sri Lankans”. A bank draft for the said sum to be credited to “Api Venuven Api” handed over to the Ambassador by the association members on 15th March at the Embassy.
The Association was represented on this occasion by its Consultants Mr. Vipula N. Pandithage and Mr. Maddumagamage Daniel while the Ambassador was accompanied by Mr. Sunil Sarath Perera, Minister Counsellor. Accepting the cheque, Ambassador appreciated the concern and care shown by the members of the Association led by its President, Mr. C. Samarasinghe toward war heroes through this magnanimous donation which will benefit the Ranaviru families.
The Association also presented a comprehensive statement of accounts for the “Sa” concert duly certified by a team of auditors on the proceeds generated out of this charitable event.
