As you are aware “The Ranaviru Day” (National War Heroes Day) will be commemorated in Sri Lanka on 19th May 2010 on an island vide basis in which the main ceremony will be held at the Galle Face Green under the distinguished patronage of HE the President.
 
In keeping with the above, it is apt for us to organize a ceremony in Kuwait for which we have the honour to invite religious dignitaries and the members of the Sri Lankan community to mark this occasion.

Accordingly a commemorative event will be held:

On  :    Wednesday, 19th May 2010
At   :    08.30 a.m.
At   :    The Sri Lankan Embassy premises

The programme for the event includes the following.

       1.  Flag hoisting
      2.  National Anthem
      3.  Lighting the Oil Lamp
      4.  Observance of two minutes silence
      5.  Welcome speech
      6.  Messages by religious dignitaries
      7.  Speeches and messages
      8.  Vote of Thanks
      9.  Light refreshments
