I have relinquished my duties as Ambassador to Kuwait & Bahrain on  31st December 2010 upon completion of 02 years and 03 months in Kuwait.  Meanwhile, Mr. W.S. Premaratne, Counsellor has assumed duties  in the capacity of Charge d’ Affaires a.i. w.e.f. 1st January 2011 who will be in charge of the Mission  until a new Head of Mission is appointed.    I kindly request all of you to extend the same support and cooperation given to me during my tenure to Mr. W.S. Premaratne in the discharge of his duties as Acting Head of Mission. 

I take this opportunity to thank all Sri Lankans and Well-wishers in Kuwait for the excellent support and cooperation extended to me both on official as well as personal basis during my tenure as Ambassador to Kuwait & Bahrain. 

My family joins me in conveying our best wishes to all of you for the continued wellbeing, happiness and success in all future endeavours.
