Mr. W.C.S.C. Weliwatta (SLAS Class I ), Commissioner of Labour has assumed duties at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Kuwait as  First Secretary / Labour w.e.f. 20th June 2010 replacing Mr. Herath Yapa, Minister Counsellor.  Meanwhile, Mr. W. Kahawatta, Asst. Commissioner of Labour has succeeded  Mr. H.M. Gunatillake, First Secretary w.e.f. 20th June as Third Secretary / Labour.

We warmly welcome both Mr. Weliwatta and  Mr. Kahawatta to Kuwait and wish them all the best in their new assignments. 

Mr. Herath Yapa and Mr. Gunatillake bid adieu

Mr. Herath Yapa, Minister Counsellor and Mr. H.M.Gunatillake, First Secretary have left Kuwait on 15th May and 20th June respectively on completion of their assignments with the Sri Lankan Embassy in Kuwait.  They have returned to their substantive posts with the Ministry of Labour of Sri Lanka. 

We take this opportunity to convey our sincere appreciation to both of them for their great services and contribution to the Embassy and the Sri Lankan community  in Kuwait. 

We wish them well and continued success in all future endeavours.
