The Annual Progress Report of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Kuwait entitled “Step Toward Progress” for year 2009 was presented by the Ambassador to Hon. Prof. G.L. Peiris, M.P, M/EA, Hon. Gitanjana Gunawardena, M.P,  Dy. M/EA  and  Mr. C.R. Jayasinghe, S/EA during his recent visit to Sri Lanka.

The report is a compilation of highlights of activities conducted by the mission during the year 2009 in such areas as bilateral relations encompassing political, economic, trade, investment, tourism, culture, social, educational, labour & employment, consular, fund-raising, Sri Lankan community gatherings and their activities etc. The report also covers certain important tasks and activities carried out in Bahrain with the support of Sri Lanka Hony. The report which was compiled by Mr. Sunil Premaratna/Counsellor contains over 70 pages with colour photos of events organized by the Embassy and a brief report on statistics / data of mission’s accomplishments at the end.
