Staff members and well-wishers lined up at the VIP lounge of the Kuwait International Airport on 16th January 2011 to say good bye to departing Ambassador Mr.Sarath Dissanyake after his tenure in Kuwait.

Mr. Sarath Dissanayake has served two years and 3 months as Ambassador accredited to Kuwait and Bahrain.  Number of farewell functions were organized in recognition of his services to the Sri Lankan community during his tenure in Kuwait. Ambassador was credited for his endeavor to improve the image of Sri Lanka in Kuwait. His name will remain as one of the best Ambassadors in the history of the Embassy.

On behalf of the Sri Lankan community in Kuwait we take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Ambassador and his family for his cordiality and goodwill towards the Sri Lankan community.  We wish him and his family all the best and continued success, wellbeing and happiness in all his future endeavours. 

May he and his family be blessed by the Noble Triple Gem.
