First batch of nurses arrived in Kuwait PDF Print E-mail

First batch of 12 Nurses from Sri Lanka, who have been selected to be recruited to the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health arrived in Kuwait on 12.03.2011.   Embassy officials have met them at the airport together with  officials of the Health Ministry of Kuwait. 

It should be noted that this is the first ever recruitment of nurses from Sri Lanka to Kuwait arranged by the Embassy.  Mr. Sunil Premaratna, Charge d’ Affaires of the Embassy has taken initiative to coordinate matters with the Ministry of Health to make this recruitment possible, which will benefit skilled workers of Sri Lanka .

In total, 31 Nurses have been selected to be recruited to the Ministry of Health of Kuwait from Sri Lanka as an initial step and arrangements are being made for the rest of the batch to travel to Kuwait before the end this month.    Dr. H.R.U. Indrasiri, Deputy Director General ( ETR ) of the Ministry of Health & Nutrition has coordinated with the Embassy through the Ministry of External Affairs, for the success of this endeavour.
